Parent Resources
As counselors and staff members at Bragg, we are here to assist in being the connecting piece between home and school. We will help provide your child with any missing pieces so he or she can form the best year possible. Here you will find information that may be helpful for parents. Please feel free to browse. We are happy to provide any further information. Please do not hesitate to reach out for any support or questions you may have.
If your child is in crisis and you need immediate assistance, call 911 or your local police department for a crisis unit response team

Technology
It is never too soon to talk with your children about the importance of technology safety and internet awareness. Our children are being raised in an electronic world filled with easy ways to spread information via social media sites, emails, and text/picture messages. We would like to prepare our students with the appropriate use of such technology prior to them becoming immersed.
A few years ago we were fortunate to have Deidre's House in Morristown come visit and speak with our students. Below you can view the clips and presentations shared with our 5th grade students at the time.

Anxiety in our Children
Our children have faced many changes and challenges in the recent times. As adults, we have struggled to make things feel, "normal" for our children when they don't even feel normal to us at all. We have seen an increase in students reporting that they are experiencing anxiety. Below are some great articles and resources on how to support your children. At Bragg, we also offer a group for anxiety/coping skills. More information on our groups and sign up forms can be found under our, "Counseling Services" tab on our website.

504 Plan and I&RS
One of the counselors would be more than happy to discuss and explain a Section 504b plan for your child and exactly what it means. If you would like to read more information or if you have questions, Understood.org is a great website with keypoints. Check out their article on 504 Plans.
Intervention and Referral Services (I&RS) is a committee that meets monthly to address student academic, behavioral, social, or emotional needs. One of the counselors in the office can explain this process in greater detail and specifically for Bragg School. Please review the state I&RS documentation for additional information.
